Our 10 month old baby quads :)

Our 10 month old baby quads in diapers ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy 10 months quadlings! Things are pretty busy in our home, the babies are all over the place ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s so fun to see them doing new things, reach milestones and strive every day. They are starting to play together, especially the boys and it warms our hearts to see that they really do have a special bond. I can’t even describe how much joy they bring us, the world can be up side down as long as we see that our babies are happy, that’s all that matters.

They are doing really good with their solids and finger foods. Still working on sippy cups with water, they thinks it’s play time when I bring them at the table. Speaking about the table, we love our quad table!!! We’ve been blessed once again and it really makes a difference in our daily routine. In the beginning it was a little hard, especially for the girls, they couldn’t really sit up straight. Now they are all pros!

Meals are fun (it took me a while to get used to the mess but everything gets cleaned up after the feeding), babies are enjoying feeding themselves and even playing with each other – not always a good idea but they are too cute. The babies eat a pretty large variety of foods, but I am still making them their food, separate from ours. They are not quite there yet and like our pediatrician said, we are not in a rush, they are preemies so we need to be careful every step we take.IMG_6623

Their schedule changed completely about 3 ย weeks ago. Starting 9 months we cut down to 3 bottles a day, which is huge !!! I used to prepare 32 bottles every night, and now I am down to 12!! Also, a month ago we introduced a 3rd solid feeding so they are getting 3 bottles and 3 full meals/day. Nap time changed too, they are taking 2 naps/day and it’s going pretty well this way. The transition was a little difficult but every change we made to their schedule it took a while for them to get used to it. Our day pretty much looks like this:

7 AM : bottle
change diapers & out for a walk (weather permitting) – sometimes they take a cat nap in the stroller.
9 AM : breakfast (solids) ย & put on day clothes
10 AM : nap
12 PM : lunch (solids)
play time
1:45 PM : bottle
2 PM : nap
play time, books or a little snack if they were not interested in the bottle before nap
4:30 PM : dinner (solids)
bath/play time/cartoons
7 PM : bottle
7:30 PM : bed time

They get bored so much easier now, so we really have to keep them entertained. Andrew is very active, he is the only one crawling and sits himself comfortably anywhere, even on his siblings ๐Ÿ™‚ He even pulls himself up. The others are sitting on their own but I try to make sure there is a pillow behind them just in case they fall.

Everyone is babbling all day long, it is so cute! Alexis was the first one to say tata & dada, Isaac says tata ( it means daddy in Romanian) and he is very proud of it and our little Hannah’s first word is Mama!! That makes me so happy ๐Ÿ™‚ aaaaand Andrew… this little buddy is unique in every way possible ๐Ÿ™‚ ย His first word is AUCH! haha! They all have teeth, Andrew was the first one for this too. I think he was 8 months when he got his first 2 bottom teeth (at the same time). Right now he has 7. Isaac has 2 on the bottom, same with Alexis and Hannah has 1 and a half ๐Ÿ™‚ She is still our peanut but not so little anymore ! She’s doing better with her feedings and doesn’t spit up as much. They all still have reflux and actually the boys had to switch from Zantac to Prevacid a couple of weeks ago.

These were their weights last week:
Isaac: 19 pounds 4 oz
Andrew: 19 pounds 4 oz
Alexis: 17 pounds 9 oz
Hannah: 16 pounds 4 oz

The Quads’ first 4th of July was very busy. A year ago,onย 4th of July 2013ย , I was on complete bed rest and it was terrible!! I remember looking at pictures of other family with baby quads in the pool and could not imagine us doing the same thing a year later. But we did it! We took the babies to the pool and we had a blast! I have to admit it was hard work. The two of us and four babies is no joke but were very organized. I got the babies ready one by one and passed them to Daddy. He did a great job making sure that their first time inย the pool was fun and not scary. All 4 loved being in the water, the boys even kicked their feet and splashed. It was a BIG accomplishment for us and a step forward.

There are moments when I still can’t believe we have quads, I still can’t believe this is possible and I am just speechless and yet so thankful of God’s grace. Here are some of my newest favorite pictures, along with the ones above ๐Ÿ™‚
